This workspace is used for mounting and testing, repair and maintenance of furnaces, cryostats and other apparatus. The special equipment of this laboratory includes:

  • A furnace (200 deg C max, atmospheric pressure or vacuum) for sample treatment and baking of aluminium oxide furnace parts
  • A furnace (1100 deg C max) for brazing under inert atmosphere
  • Alcatel ASM 142 leak detector
  • A Binocular microscope
  • Spot welder
