User-Dedicated Microsymposia & Call for Abstracts (Wed. 8 February)

Three User-Dedicated Microsymposia will be held on February 8 during the 2017 User Meeting on the ESRF site.

• UDM1. "Advances and new science with resonant inelastic X-ray scattering"

• UDM2. "Quantitative coherent X-ray diffraction imaging"

• UDM3. "Operando structural studies in Materials Science"
  
  Organisers:
  Michela Brunelli, Alejandro Fernandez-Martinez, Sébastien Merkel (UOC)
  Marco di Michiel, Gavin Vaughan (ESRF)

Each User-Dedicated Microsymposium will include keynote talks and the opportunity to meet and discuss with the ESRF Staff.

Users are also invited to be part of these events by proposing contributions for talks in the related disciplines through the submission of abstracts: presentations on outstanding scientific results and/or novel technical developments which can be of interest for the specific scientific area are welcome. In particular, young scientists are encouraged to submit a contribution. Invited speakers selected from abstracts will have their registration fee and local accommodation costs waived.

Call for User Abstracts

Invited talks from users will be selected from the received abstracts, and will be included in the Wednesday sessions of each Microsymposium.

Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed and accepted authors will be notified by MONDAY 12 DECEMBER 2016.
