A sample preparation laboratory located in the satellite building 07.06 is available and open to GILDA users. The door is locked by a code lock: the code is E94031. The following apparata for sample preparation are available:
  • A chemical hut for volatile substances manipulation
  • A complete system for powder deposition on membranes
  • A complete system to make pellets
  • An ultrasound bath for mixing or capillary filling
  • A complete set (gloves, pipettes, syringes, needles) to manipulate liquid samples
  • Vacuum glass containers

Several fluids can be used for general purposes:

  • Compressed air
  • Industrial water
  • Demineralized water
  • Nitrogen Gas
  • Gas evacuation line

Chemicals currently available in the lab:

  • Boron Nitride
  • Graphite
  • Poly-ethilene
  • Ethilic Alcool
  • Isopropilic Alcool
  • Toluene
  • Acetone

Adding to this two tables equipped with mechanics and electronics tools are available as well.
