Technical details of key components

  • Light Source :Ocean Optics DH2000

  • Detector :Ocean Optics HR2000

  • Fiber Optics :Ocean Optics Fibers. Currently we have 50, 100, 300 and 600um cores available.

  • Computer : a dedicated Dell laptop is available running Windows XP with 1Gb memory.

  • Lasers : it is possible (with advanced warning and subject to availabiliy) to obtain alternative light sources from the Cryobench Laboratory .

    Please note that use of lasers must be included in your initial application as it is subject to approval by the ESRF safety committee.
