These are a (very) few of the spec commands, which hopefully will be enough to get many users through their experiments. A more extensive list may be found here.
General Commands
These work in all spec windows (optics, siemens, kappa, 3DXRD).
reconfig reinitalises a session (often the first thing to try if you have a problem)
wa shows the current positions of all defined motors
shopen opens the beam shutter (between the optics and experimental hutches)
shclose closes the beam shutter
mv motor1 abs_pos1 (motor2 abs_pos2 ...)
umv motor1 abs_pos1 (motor2 abs_pos2 ...)
moves a motor or motors to an absolute position in degrees or mm, with or without update while movingmvr motor1 rel_move1 (motor2 rel_move2 ...)
umvr motor1 rel_move1 (motor2 rel_move2 ...)
moves a motor or motors a distance in degrees or mm, relative to the current positionct (time_in_sec) integrates the counters over the given time (default 1 s)
ascan motor start end intervals time step scans a motor between two absolute positions
dscan motor start end intervals time step scans a motor between two positions relative to the present location
set motor position redefines the current position as position. Should be used with care by users, who should NEVER reset beamline slits or optical elements!
