D2AM after the EBS

The bending magnet of the beamline will be replaced by a Short Bending Magnet (SBM). This device will produce the same magnetic field (0.8 T) but will reduce the source size by a factor of 3 vertically and 5 horizontally. The reduction of the source size will induce a reduction of the focused beam on the sample side. Based on SHADOW simulations, we expect a beam of about 20x20 µm^{^2} with the current beamline setup and instrumentation. The beamline commissioning will start on the 4th of May.
