In case images collected are blank or no images are collected at all it might be necessary to reset the detector.

Things to try:

  • Dectector software reset followed by MXCube restart

In case this does not help:

  • Detector hardware reset followed by software reset and MXCube restart

 

Software reset

You must first VNC to sybil

Locate the windows of the camserver and the LIMA server on the control computer and close both of them:

Double click on the "Detector Software" icon on the control computer desktop:

Wait until the startup has finished, indicated by a star symbol (*) in the camserver window:

Restart MXCube.

Hardware reset

Locate the power button on the backside of the detector as indicated by the arrow:

Switch the power button off, wait approximately for five seconds and switch it on again. The hardware reset has to be followed by a software reset and a restart of MXCube.
