BM05 Double-Crystal Fixed-Exit Water-Cooled Monochromator (Siemens)
References for the Monochromator
1. References
the mtrans = 0 and mono = 0 position should correspond to a crystal gap of 10.02 mm
monochromator’s axis of rotation is positioned at 17.1 mm with respect to the incident beam
2. Hard Limits:
the mtrans motor hard high limit switch position corresponding to fully opened crystal gap of 31.14 mm is 31.97.
the mtrans motor hard low limit switch position corresponding to a minimum gap of 2 mm is –11.83 mm.
Motors:
mono : rotation angle of monochromator in degrees (0 < q < 50 deg)
Energy range : 4 – 60 keV with Si(111)
mtrans : drives the crystal gap; the mtrans axis is at 44.61 deg to the horizontal plane at mono=0
mtilt2: rocking angle of the 2nd crystal in arcsec ( 1 step := 1 arcsec) minimum step =0.04584 arcsec ;range= ±60mm/0.045m =±1140 mrad
i.e limits :0 - 458.4 arcsec
mtilt1 : horizontal alignment angle of the 2nd crystal in steps :
(1 step := 1 arcsec)
minimum step =0.08251 arcsec ;range= ±60mm/0.025m =±2400 mrad
i.e limits :0 - 825.1 arcsec
